Clear Thinking

Apparently, Specsavers have an in-house advertising
department, I'm not sure how much of the work they outsource?
Probably production, Post production etc... But the creative side
is all their own.

It's one of the best ongoing campaigns I can think of.
Not only did they come up with an ingeniously simple line
and strategy but they have fun with it.
Every ad is different and has a great tone of voice that isn't
rammed down your throat, they have well judged humour
that seems to be very accurate when it comes to understanding
what todays audiences want from tv adverts.

And, there doesn't seem to be anyone who doesn't know the endline,
which must make it one of the best modern campaigns around.

It's good campaign, it's lasting and what makes it even stronger is that the client is sticking with it (obviously because they thought of it makes that easier :-) ).
It's a simple, clear idea, broad enough to keep refreshing with different executional styles, and has a memorable tagline with the shop name in it.

You won't find much support for it amongst a lot of ad people for some reason. Maybe because it's made in-house people are snobbish towards it. Maybe because in the UK a lot of todays creatives look down on work that they think is trying hard.
I don't really know why, but it doesn't get the credit it deserves. I wonder if it was made by one of the 'cool' agencies if it would get a better reception.

Yeh, good point.
'Creative support' makes me fucking laugh. The amount of bollocks thats being made at the moment is probably one of the reasons it stands out as a great campaign.

I really like the Lynch-esque one with the lumberjack. As a speccy twat though i'm more of vision express kinda guy.

Quick Q!? Do you only do campaigns for products/ services/ companies that you like? I think you should do a campaign for a really lame company like land of leathers or something haha.
